A new video has been recently launched online created by Zebra Uno’s media team for the Student Enabling Centre (SEC), University of Wolverhampton.

The video Ten Top Communication Tips give advices in how to communicate with deaf students, presented by Director of Zebra Uno Nikki Stratton.

A variety of scenarios are shown to demonstrate what makes a poor example and the solutions.

“The video was produced in response to our student survey complaining about the University staff’s lack of disability awareness.  We decided that a short online video was the best route to reach out to all our staff members and chose deaf as our first subject because we have the largest deaf student population in a Higher Education institution.  We hope that the staff will find it helpful encouraging us to cover other disabilities next year.  It will be distributed to all our staff by email and accessed on our website.” – Alistair Wright, Manager of the Support Services Team, SEC.
