Nikki Stratton shortlisted as finalist for the Entrepreneurial Award

Nikki Stratton has been shortlisted as a finalist for the University of Wolverhampton’s Entrepreneurial Award!

The Entrepreneurial Award serves to bring recognition to graduates whose achievements demonstrate an example of excelling entrepreneurial skills in the work they do, whilst advocating as role models to those that run, or aspire to run, businesses.

Nikki and her business partner, Marilyn Willrich, co-founded Zebra Uno Limited (www.zebra-uno.com) in 2003, which is successful company that focuses on digital media and communication.  Nikki, who is Deaf and comes from a Deaf family of three generations, is also a Co-Founder of the UK’s leading Deaf-led Film & Arts Festival; Deaffest (www.deaffest.co.uk).  The project was established in 2006 and runs under Zebra Access CIO (www.zebra-access.com), a thriving charity that Nikki and Marilyn launched in 2005, with the vision of creating ‘communities without barriers’ for deaf people.  Having worked in the media field for years, Nikki has a wealth of experience, including working as a BSL consultant, presenter, in-vision interpreter in the broadcast television industry, and for corporate/public projects.

The University of Wolverhampton Alumni Awards 2023 took place on Tuesday the 27th of June and while Nikki did not win, hearty congratulations to her for being shortlisted as well as to the winners and her fellow nominees!
