Deaf Awareness Training during Deaf Awareness Week 2024

Zebra Uno’s Co-Directors, Nikki Stratton and Marilyn Willrich, delivered Deaf Awareness training to the staff from the University of Wolverhampton, the Arena Theatre and The Halls, Wolverhampton, in preparation for Deaffest 2024. The festival, which took place across these venues from 10th to 12th May, coincided with Deaf Awareness Week. Both Nikki and Marilyn provided an important insight into how to be Deaf-friendly and what to bear in mind when communicating with a D/deaf or Hard of Hearing individual.
