Discrimination Act (DDA)
• This act requires all goods and service providers to
make reasonable adjustments to meet the needs of disabled people.
It has now been established that companies and organisations
are required to provide sign language interpreters to ensure
clear lines of communication and public relations material and
information leaflets etc. should be translated into sign language
format.
