Marilyn Bueno Del Carpio scoops Best Actress Award at Remark! TV and Film Awards!

November 2009

On Saturday 7th November, Best Actress nominee Marilyn Bueno Del Carpio made her way down, to the London’s 2009 Remark! Film and TV Awards ceremony and came home a STAR!

Arriving in style by limo to the red carpet event, which played host to over 1,300 guests and featured live performances from Deaf artists from around the world; a nervous Marilyn made her way to the VIP area.

Following the announcements from other categories, the nail biting wait was finally over and the Best Actress winner was announced.

An overwhelmed, yet surprised Marilyn made an emotional and heartfelt thanks to her supporters and business partner Nikki Stratton who have championed her all the way.
‘It was an amazing experience. I just could not believe I had won. Being an actress is a challenge in itself, but to play a part that is contrary to who I am as an individual added another dimension. Winning an award for a debut acting role is unbelievable and as far as I was concerned everybody was a winner that night.’
