Bantock House launches Deaf Community Gallery
Bantock House launches the Deaf Community gallery this month, recognising the importance of Deaf history, their community and culture within the UK.
Zebra, alongside members of the Deaf community and Wolverhampton attended the premier launch in celebration of Deaf people and their lives throughout history. As part of Bantock House gallery, Zebra Uno produced two film documentaries that looked at Deaf history in the 1940s and Deaf schooling over the last century. Both films were screened at the event.

Zebra sponsors Deaf Rock n Roll Charity Ball 2008
From Rock n Roll outfits to greased hair and a live Rock n Roll Band, Zebra sponsors an incredible and successful Deaf Rock n Roll Charity event.
Zebra’s own director; Marilyn Bueno Del Carpio was the evening’s MC, alongside John Hay.
As part of Zebra’s sponsorship towards the event, Zebra produced an informative film documentary about Prada Willis Syndrome, the Film tells of a Deaf couple’s anguish when their son (also Deaf) is diagnosed with Prada Willis Syndrome. This was shown during the event. Attendees stated the film brought to light the complexity of PWS and found the information very useful.
Games, raffle and Rock n Roll dancing were just some of the activities during the night.

Young Deaffest Exclusive Premier Launch!
Zebra launches a buzzing evening premier at Light House Wolverhampton to showcases the bursary winner’s films and animation productions.
The evening opened with presentations from both Nikki Stratton (Project Co-ordinator) and Gordon Hay (Project Tutor) who gave an insight into the project, the makeup of the production team members and the revealing of their finished productions.
Celebrations and networking continued throughout the evening in the courtyard area.

Newsflash: Young Deaf Film Bursary’s Launch next month!!
Since the beginning of January our three production teams have been in their element; creating and producing their film and animation productions. During this time they have worked extremely hard to complete their productions for the Premier Launch next month.

Zebra’s Young Deaffest appears on BBC See Hear
BBC See Hear features Zebra’s Young Deaffest in their half hour programme. Films created and produced from Zebra’s Young Filmmakers scheme is aired on national television and uncovers the new, up and coming talented filmmakers within the UK.
Zebra’s director and Deaffest festival co-ordinator Nikki Stratton was pleased to see that the hard work and determination from the young Deaf filmmakers was rewarded further with an appearance on BBC See Hear.
