Media Training

We use BSL to deliver training in: Film Production, Animation, TV Presentation, TV In-Vision Interpreting and Performing Arts These courses are funded by various bodies and are free to Deaf participants.

Young Deaf Filmmakers 2007/8

Each of six groups on these courses created a short film or animation plus a poster and sleeve design. The films were shown at Deaffest 2007 and three £1,000 bursaries were awarded to produce two more films and an animation which will be shown at Deaffest 2008. All nine films have been screened at other film festivals in Britain and around the world.

Footage of the courses and the films created by participants are shown each year at Deaffest and can be seen on the Deaf Media Resource site which has been developed as a partnership between Zebra Uno Ltd and Hi8us Midlands Ltd.
