The Directors

The directors, Marilyn Bueno Del Carpio (left) and Nikki Stratton (right), are both Deaf native British Sign Language users and have a profound understanding of the issues confronting Deaf People and of the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act.

Nikki and Marilyn are determined to assist hearing businesses and organisations to reach Deaf people and to improve Deaf peoples’ access to all areas of life through British Sign Language.

Marilyn and Nikki have a high profile amongst the Deaf community nationally due to their television work, their support for media access and through the work of Zebra Uno & Zebra Access over the last five years.

Before forming Zebra Uno Ltd, Marilyn was a senior lecturer in BSL/English Interpreting at the University of Wolverhampton, where Nikki gained her degree in Deaf Studies and Linguistics. Both also worked as TV presenters and in-vision translators.
